My name is Jason Mercado, owner of M1-TEX Construction LLC. My passion for construction began at 16 in New York City, where I spent 17 years in Carpenters Union Local 157 — eventually running work as a Foreman on landmarks like the Freedom Tower, the new Yankee Stadium, Rockefeller Center, and Trump Tower.
For the past 11 years, M1-TEX has been my family-owned company, bringing that same professionalism, precision, and pride to homes and businesses across Dallas–Fort Worth. To us, every project is someone’s dream, investment, and future — so we treat every property with the same care and respect we’d expect for our own.

My name is Jason Mercado, owner of M1-TEX Construction LLC, and I want to personally thank you for taking the time to visit our website.
As a native New Yorker, my passion for construction began at just 16 years old when I started as a laborer for one of the largest remodeling companies in New York City. From there, I earned my place in Carpenters Union Local 157, where I spent the next 17 years mastering my craft and eventually becoming a Foreman on some of the country’s most recognizable projects.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of helping build and renovate iconic landmarks, including:
- The Freedom Tower (One World Trade Center)
- The New Yankee Stadium
- Rockefeller Center
- Trump Tower
- And many other commercial projects throughout New York City
Those years taught me that quality craftsmanship, honesty, and attention to detail are what truly set a contractor apart.
After 17 years in the union, I decided it was time to build something of my own. I founded M1-TEX Construction LLC, and for the past 11 years, I’ve proudly operated a family-owned construction company dedicated to delivering exceptional residential remodeling and commercial construction services.
Today, my team and I bring the same level of professionalism, precision, and pride that I learned on some of America’s most demanding construction projects to every home and business we work on.
